It seeks to capture the most significant aspects both from a historical-political perspective and through an interdisciplinary lens — an approach often neglected but which proved essential for bringing together the knowledge required to understand the current crisis of globalisation, labour and democratic systems. To make it accessible even to non-specialists, a clear and simple language has been adopted, leaving in-depth analysis to the numerous bibliographic notes referencing material from all over the world.
